The Loyal Orange Institution (more commonly known as The Orange Order) is a Protestant fraternity with members throughout the world.

Our name honours William III, Prince of Orange, whose victory over despotic power laid the foundation for the evolution of Constitutional Democracy in the British Isles.

The Order with its proud history is primarily a religious organisation that also expresses the culture of a people. An organisation involved in social and charitable work that also accepts its political responsibilities.

In these pages we hope to provide not only an insight into our institution but also a historical biography of the town of Broxburn and more specifically the history of the Orange Order in Broxburn.

It is our sincere hope that you enjoy your visit to our web site and find it both interesting and informative. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to E-mail the Webmaster or leave a message on our Guestbook.
